Crazy over daisy

I could spend hours collecting this kind of images, decorating is one of my main passions! With the help of my partner in crime (AKA my mom), we are constantly entertaining ourselves by renovating our house, and lately it was our kitchen's turn. What better inspiration than these fabulous images? The rooms are so cozy and fresh and many of them (the ones I like best) show funny family scenes... As soon as we're done I will show you our kitchen's new look, I hope the result will be worth it!

Lately

-I wrapped up my vintage dress, which found a new owner-

Friday I'm in love

with this great documentary about the "American look" from 1958! It still looks so modern...if only it weren't for those elegantly-attired ladies denouncing its era! Happy Friday!

Vinyl love

I know it sounds a bit scratchy and it's not very comfortable to use, but how can you resist the charm of an old record player?

My vinyl collection is still a bit small, but it's so much fun, whenever I have the time, listening to these old songs. Just like every collector, it's become a sort of challenge for me finding just the record I'm looking for, and this too is part of the game. When I put a record on, I think about the kid it must have belonged to, and wonder what listening to that music meant to him or her. I like to think that, for kids of that time, those musicians were real heroes, surrounded by an aura of mystery, and buying the much-longed-for record became some sort of event. Vinyls are like my personal time machine.

Isn't it all so romantic?
