Today I took a few pictures inspired by the late 60's. The cream shift dress is from J.Crew, and the shoes are from Max & co, a reissuing of an original 1960s Max Mara model! I might have been influenced by some episodes of the latest Mad Men series: bright colors, shift dresses, heavy eye-makeup... It's always so much fun to examine Mad Men's settings and clothes!

The scented breeze of Spring enters the house. Even from a small corner in front of a window you can enjoy the season. We recently bought these 1950s curtains, made from barkcloth fabric that is so pleasing to touch! I think they look very fresh and match the colors in our living room perfectly. I love curling up on this chair and read some inspiring book... I wish I had more time to do it! I like to get into the spirit of the season, reading books that bring me into the right atmosphere. Gene Stratton Porter's The Keeper of the Bees is one of my favorites to re-read in spring and summer for example, or Katherine Mansfield's short stories. What's your favorite seasonal book?

Waiting for a few friends to enjoy a good cup of chocolate mousse that I just made.
I followed a simple and genuine recipe inherited from my grandma: I just mixed two egg yolks with sugar, flour, milk and powdered chocolate, cooking it on the stove for a few minutes.
A simple and quick dessert to be served cold!

One of my favorite scenes from a book I love and which I grew up reading. Here's how I imagined the scene in one of my latest illustrations. Pippi is my hero!
